The neighbors saw this woman bring him home. After 2 months, they all crowded at her door
Being a street dog is very strong, especially since most of them live a difficult life in any corner of a city; almost nobody feeds them, almost nobody plays with them, nor do they provide all the care they need; these animals are constantly exposed to danger.
There are numerous dogs abandoned on the streets of any city in the world that make our hearts break. The simple fact of thinking of a small animal alone and helpless, exposed to inclement weather and hunger, but if it also has health problems ... we cannot expect anything worse.
The story we bring you today started precisely like this: with a small abandoned lonely dog. Luckily, her path was about to intersect with a person who would make her life completely change.

A person was walking through the streets of Mexico in February 2015 when he discovered this dog stumbling from one side to the other, with no trace of collars or signs of ownership. The dog had numerous bumps all over its body, in addition to being starving. Without thinking twice, he picked him up from the street and tried to save him.
he immediately took it to Dalia Gámez, a woman known in the area for being an animal rights activist. As soon as she saw him, Dalia knew she had to do something, so she kept it and called it Boby.

She took him to the vet since the lumps covering his body seemed really concerning. The vet determined that the dog must have been about 2 years old and that the lumps all over its skin were malignant cancer.
He was prescribed chemotherapy but both the vets and Dalia were concerned that the treatment might be too aggressive for her fragile and weak body. The treatment consisted of 1 chemotherapy sessions a week for two months.
During the treatment, no one seemed to know that Boby was going to survive, but Dalia did everything possible to keep the dog comfortable every day.
Dalia, known on many networks for her work as an activist, did not hesitate to share Boby's story, and received much support from the people.
Probably, in addition to the treatment, it was Dalia's own love and care that finally helped Boby to heal for good. After the treatment it was a completely new dog.
his lumps disappeared and her hair began to grow back over the scars, and it seemed she had never had them. In addition, he managed to regain the weight of a normal dog of his age, he had changed so much that almost nobody was able to recognize him.
Now he spends the day playing and jumping from side to side, just like any other two-year-old dog should. Dalia did not hesitate to share the entire story; which has made Boby a little local hero and many people who live nearby visit him often.

It was then that Dalia decided it was time for Boby to find a better home, she had already done her job, given him love and was now a happy and healthy dog that needed a family for the rest of his life. Thanks to his fame this did not take long and although Dalia could not contain the tears when she left, she knew that she was leaving him in good hands.
It seems they worked, Boby was soon recovering. He started walking faster and in the photo below you can see a healthy looking Boby with no tumors. He defeated cancer and left his life behind on the streets.
Boby's hair began to grow rapidly and she returned to her normal weight. His humor and joy in living also returned.
Today, Bobby, Dalia and the Gamez family live together and happy. What an adventure!
